Napperby Creek

Michelle has painted ‘Napperby Creek’, one of several dreamings which she paints. Michelle has depicted her country around Mt. Allen, the Napperby Creek is shown in red and the Muddy Lake is shown in the pale pink / peach circles.

Michelle shows several campsites represented by the dotted circles. Women’s body paint is represented by the yellow ochre coloured stripes, and various bush tucker has been painted in- bush berries, tomatoes, etc. Michelle’s dreamings include worm dreaming, bush coconut, black seed exploding seed pod, women’s stories, body paint and body ceremony from the Mt. Allen area.
