Our
History
Mandalong Aboriginal Gallery (ABN 13 700 559 363) is owned and operated by David and Sheila Kearns, and specializes exclusively in Australian Indigenous art. Mandalong Aboriginal Gallery have been involved in Australian made Aboriginal Art for approximately 19 years, and have personal contact with many of their Aboriginal artists.
After many years of dealing in Aboriginal Art, Mandalong Aboriginal Gallery moved to a larger property out at Mandalong. It was here that the current gallery was built, and opened in 2000. The Gallery was officially opened by John Kilpatrick Lord Mayor of Lake Macquarie. A smoking ceremony, Aboriginal dancing, and Didgeridoo playing completed the official opening.
They have travelled extensively in their search of both established and emerging artists. Mandalong Aboriginal Gallery endeavours to purchase directly from the artist whenever possible. All paintings come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
If you are looking for a particular artist or style of work not currently featured on the website, please contact Sheila or David at Mandalong Aboriginal Gallery and they will email any images and details they have available from their extensive range of works in stock.
