Rainbow Spirits – Eddie Blitner

Eddie has produced a really amazing piece of art in his “Rainbow Spirits” work.

These serpents can be found in the rivers around where he lives or crossing the land.

The rainbow serpents helped to set up the land during the creation time, and they are highly respected by all aboriginal people. The serpents’ bodies are decorated using traditional raking, or cross hatching as it is sometimes called. Not only the serpents, but the background has been beautifully raked as well.
