Bush Plum Dreaming – Polly Ngala

Polly Ngala has painted her “Bush Plum Dreaming” piece. This work represents the plants, as they flower prior to the fruit forming. The women and young girl would go looking for the fruit, and is would be collected, and carried in a coolamon, a wooden ova shaped bowl. The women and young girls were responsible for collecting Bush Tucker, Seeds, Fruit, and Vegetables.
