Awely and Anemangkerr

Betty is Minnie Pwerle’s (dec) daughter. After her mother’s death in 2006, she began to paint her mother’s dreamings. She paints very much in her mother’s style, but has a slightly different variation in style. This painting shows the body painting for women’s ceremony, where the women’s breasts were painted with lineal designs, together with the small circles which represent the bush melon seeds.
