Yam Dreaming- Arlatyeye

Colleen is a self taught artist who paints dreamings passed onto her by her family. She has been painting since 1990. One of her favourite dreamings is the Yam Dreaming. She paints this in the two seasons, winter and summer. The concentric circles represent the site where the yams are located under ground, with the vine shown in green. The background colouring and dotting reflects dry times.
