Mountain Devil Lizard Dreaming

Mary has painted her ‘Mountain Devil Lizard Dreaming piece onto canvas using acrylic paints. (Kathleen Petyarre is the custodian of this dreaming) She has not used traditional colours in this work, the ‘D’ shaped area is a soakage area of land – wet area where they would go for water, bush tucker, or hunting. The central square is where men and women-s initiation takes place. Mary Pitjara is also known as Mary Rumble.
